I would advise caution regarding sunbathing. When I was much younger, I used to sunbathe whenever I could to alleviate my psoriasis and also had uv treatment several times. When in my 30s, I was working in Nigeria and I used to sunbathe by the pool every afternoon. I never used sunblock. Now, in my 80s I have had skin cancer, most of it basal cell carcinoma, but I did get a melanoma where I’d been badly sunburnt 45 years ago. Fortunately, it was low grade but it had to be cut out nevertheless. I don’t get much psoriasis now so avoid having too much sun ; not that you get much sun in Northern Scotland.
